About

Intelligence x Machine

We turn the proof vendors make their customers publish into a verified map of who runs what.

Origin

The story

IXM grew out of DNSai, which reads public DNS at scale and noticed something useful: when a company adopts Claude, Salesforce or DocuSign, an administrator has to publish a record proving the company controls its domain. Those records are a census of vendor relationships that no crawler can see. DNSai describes itself by its source, and buyers heard "networking tool". IXM describes the same graph by what it delivers: install-base intelligence, verified from the record. DNSai keeps its free DNS tools; IXM is its commercial install-base brand.

How we work

Method

We observe public DNS across 2.9 million domains on a schedule, match records to a catalogue of 1,300+ vendor signatures, resolve domains to companies, and grade every relationship for confidence with first-seen and last-seen dates. Nothing is inferred from marketing scripts, job posts or surveys. The method is public and reproducible; a full description is on the data page.

What we hold to

Principles

Verified, not inferred.

We publish what a record proves and grade everything else.

Company-level only.

No names, no emails, no personal data. Ever.

Transparent confidence.

Every record shows its grade and its dates, so you can check our work.
